A Category 2 status at landfall for Hurricane Delta puts hundreds of thousands of homes at risk of storm surge according to data from the National Hurricane Center and CoreLogic, a property data and analysis firm, said on Wednesday evening.

An estimated 293,685 family homes across Louisiana and the US Gulf Coast with reconstruction cost value (RCV) of approximately $62.85 billion are at potential risk from this hurricane, according to CoreLogic’s Risk Analysis.
