Another extension in place by FHFA for the ban of foreclosure and home eviction.
On Wednesday, FHFA announced the fourth extension of its foreclosure and eviction moratorium until January 31, at the least.
According to a new release, the extension will keep the moratorium on single-family foreclosures and real estate owned (REO) evictions until at least January 31, 2021. The extension applies to all GSE-backed, single-family mortgages only.
The REO eviction moratorium only applies to properties that were acquired by GSE through foreclosure or deed-in-lieu of foreclosure transactions, FHFA notes.
